Reindeer's
(coir) Coco Peat is ground up coconut husks imported from India fresh water washed. This product should be mixed with soil or a good organic potting mix, Just the right size for our climate not to fine are to large, allows for even air flow.
One of the best natural water holding products out there. For dry areas or sandy soils Coco is the product to use as it will last for up to eight years continuously holding that water in the soil. Coco Peat helps to break up clay soils.
Watering:
If you have not used Coco Peat before our 5 kg block absorbs 20 liters of water and we call that moist. It will take up twice as much water but not needed for plant growth.
My experience with watering, most people water too much and leave the plants susceptible to fungus gnats and other issues.
Please remember that plants do not need to be saturated with water nor do they like it.
Easy to remember rule:
Feel the weight of the soil in the pot before planting and you just want it a little heavier.
